TOM FRANCE IS A MACHINE DRIVER OF SOME YEARS EXPERIENCE, AND IS ALSO A COMPLETE NUTTER (IN THE NICEST WAY) WHEN IT COMES TO RECORDING THE MACHINERY THAT HAS BEEN SUCH INTEGRAL PART OF HIS AND OUR LIVES, AND ALTHOUGH TOM`S WORK HAS PUT HIM ABOARD MANY MACHINES OTHER THAN TEREX, HE DOES HAVE A CLOSE AFFINITY WITH THE TS-24, AND BELOW YOU WILL FIND EXAMPLES OF THAT FOR US ALL TO ENJOY. THANKS FOR THE INPUT TOM.
Tom has sent in 4 images from 1988, when BH Hire was working on the M40, for Neil Becher, but anyway, Tom puts it as well as we could, so we`ll let him tell you………
"As promised, photographs of the BH Hire TS-24 fleet of four units, on hire to Neil Becher Contracts, as it would have been in 1988.
The exact site is the M40 Waterstock to Wendlebury contract in a cut near Ambrosden, and they are as follows….
……..BHH TS-24 (B10LOT, V8/V8) chasing one of "our" Yanks (43LOT, V12/S6), as it would have to as the Yanks had the edge on speed & power……
….on the return journey, either to the cut, or to the full time BHH fitter (ouch, Ed !!)….
……..BHH machine waiting to be pushed, foreground, far left …….
…..and lastly, another one straightening up in the cut, next but one to be pushed.
