MANY REMEMBER KEN AS BEING REGIONAL SALES MANAGER FOR THE EASTERN REGION, BASED AT NORTHAMPTON, BUT OF COURSE PRIOR TO THAT, HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE "AFRICA KORPS", OPERATING IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES ON THAT CONTINENT, ALL THIS PRIOR TO HIM BECOMING "MINE HOST" AT THE HAWK & BUCKLE IN NORTH WALES !!

" The cartoons published under "Personalities" were drawn in the early ’60s by Robert Arnot.
At that time he was, I think, GZ’s PA*. He was one of an intake of "Overseas Trainees" which included JR (Jimmy) James and myself. That was in 1956.
Robert became a teacher, Jimmy had a distinguished career in Africa, and I was involved in the Materials Handling Division, BH Zambia, West Africa and finally UK Sales.
Robert also drew a cartoon of me on my departure to Zambia in 1962. If anyone has a copy I would appreciate an e-mail.
