THESE IMAGES FROM LEE JACKSON, BARNSLEY PARTS DEPT, ARE STRICTLY OUT OF LIMITS AS IT WERE WITH WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE ON THE BLOG, AS THEY WERE TAKEN AT LEAST 3 YEARS AFTER THE TAKEOVER, BUT AS THEY CONTAIN EX BARNSLEY EMPLOYEES, AND WE HAVE NOTHING FROM ANYONE ELSE (AS YET !!) WITH REGARD TO THE DEPOT ITSELF, OR ITS DAILY INHABITANTS, THESE PHOTOS OF THE LAST DAYS OF IMACO BLACKWOOD HODGE AT TOCKWITH WILL HAVE TO DO FOR NOW !!
BARNSLEY DEPOT IS LONG UNDER HOUSING NOW, AND APART FROM A FEW VIEWS FROM BROCHURES, LIKE MOST OF THE OTHER DEPOTS, WE HAVE SWEET VERY LITTLE.
Anyway, Lee`s photos are welcome, if a little fuzzy (sorry APL), the first one showing Lee "mounted", and the second one featuring a certain Mr Glen Eilledge, who has figured in several earlier postings in various depots already.
Next we have a collection of office types together, two of them being the chaps mentioned above, but on this one joined by one Brian McKeown, far left as you look at it.
Lastly, but by now means least, a couple of well known faces originally from Barnsley workshops, described by Lee quite aptly we think…." Dave Wake, Barnsley long time server, and Lol Blackshaw, Barnsley lifer !!" For those who dont know them, as you look at the photo, Dave is on the left and Lol in the middle.
