NOVEMBER 13TH, 2008….TODAY WE LOST ANOTHER OF OUR EX-COLLEAGUES & FRIENDS.
Fred Jones worked for BH Hire from 1988 to early 1990, when he was transferred to JBH New Sales until June of that year, when a lot of good people also left the building for good.
Fred had spent most of his working life up until 1988 with the GPO, eventually to be called BT, but looking for pastures new, he decided on sales, and applied for the hire reps job at BH Hire, and after an interview with KMK, was given the start.

Fred always had strong opinions, and was not brilliant at keeping them to himself, so his time with BHH was interesting to say the least, but as most of the time a smile was worn on his (still) angelic features (well he had been a choirboy in Wembley), it was difficult not to get on with him, even though some days you could have happily put him through one of the shredders that he was hiring out !!
When the downturn came in early 1990, Fred went to New Sales for the remaining months, and then left for pastures new, including financial advisor, and eventually back into industry, finding time as well to be a County Councillor, and also a Director of the local Co-op.
Fred was still his own man, right upto the end, always politically motivated, and as mentioned previously, never short of an opinion, except on football, one of the few things we didn`t argue about !!
Wherever Fred went, he wont ever be forgotten, and the world is a sadder place for his no longer being here.
