WE ADD TONIGHT THE BALANCE OF HERR AD GEVERS` CONTRIBUTION, THESE BEING A SET OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND A COUPLE OF ADVERTS COVERING A FAIRLY WIDE SPECTRUM OF EUCLID & TEREX, AND WE ARE ASSUMING MOSTLY FROM HOLLAND OR BELGIUM, APART FROM WHERE OTHERWISE ADVISED.
They are in no particular order, just as Herr Gevers sent them to us, and to start with, an interesting item, obviously not from Europe, and we would assume from 1968/69, when Euclid GB became Terex, and the reference to Chapter 11 being the the situation the company was in, in the USA, before it became Terex ?? If anybody can clarify, we would be obliged…..
…..and advert for the B series artics##, 1988/9 maybe, and very much from Belgium, but the language…is that Dutch, or Flemish ?? Should have asked Ad……….
## IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT TO US BY MICK STEVENS (JBH WORKS & HML) THAT THE B SERIES DID NOT COME ABOUT UNTIL 1992…THANKYOU MJB FOR THAT ADVICE.
……we were pretty sure (with the help of Mr Orlemann) that this was a mid 1950`s built B5FDT or B7FDT-B1W, which of course as you all know is a 13 cu yd bottom dump, built in Newhouse, and pulled by either a Leyland (170hp) or Rolls Royce (184hp) powered FDT tractor…..but, the air cleaner is on the near side, where a Cummins unit would have it fitted, whereas the others were on the off-side, so unless the photo has been reversed sometime, then we are not sure what we have………..
…..early TC-12, on exhibition in Europe. Herr Gevers has a contact, Herr Pieter van de Klei, now 84 years old, and 10 years a director of B.H.Netherlands, who was given a free hand to establish B.H. & Euclid in Holland, and started "plant exhibitions" on his own initiative, and this shot is probably from one of them…..
….a fleet of Euc 82-40`s, from Sogetra, helping to build the E5 Motorway in Belgium, with a couple of strangers in the background…..

….not the most common shot you will see, toploading a scraper, a TS-18 we think, and the loader, not sure we have heard of a "Lorain" loader, although there is a Septic crane by that name, but a rare item anyway….
….another TS-18, this time being loaded conventionally, and the pusher ? An International TD24, another rare item…..the scraper is from Van Gelder Anvers……
……same TD24 again in background, with another one pushing a TS-18 from V.G.A., and note the "banksman", standing in between the 2 tractors….H & S ??, not a chance……
….moving on a few years, a couple of B10LOT`s with helpmates……
…..and not something you see too often, TS-14B`s with push-pull…..
….a couple of Nigerian images now, an 82-30B, and a TS-14B….possibly one of the many that HML brought back in the 1980`s for resale ??……….
….and lastly, back to Europe for a classic shot of a 72-71B loading a 33-09 in a Dutch quarry.
