THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THIS SUMMER OF 1986 WAS THE RETIREMENT OF ONE OF, IF NOT THE LONGEST SERVING MEN ON THE COMPANY`S BOOKS, JACK JOHNSON.
JACK HAD FIRST ARRIVED AS AN ENGINEER IN NORTHAMPTON IN 1948, AND TO DATE, HE IS THE OLDEST LIVING EMPLOYEE TO HAVE BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FROM SO LONG AGO.
WE DONT THINK THE WRITE-UP ACTUALLY GIVES JACK PROPER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR HIS YEARS AND INFLUENCE ON J.B.H.& B.H., AND ONE DAY MAYBE, WE WILL PUT THAT RIGHT, BUT FOR NOW THIS WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE.
Some general stuff now from the same issue, some informative, some interesting, some definetely sad, and one very strange one !!
….couldn`t resist another section from dear old Hadders…..
….and a report on one of our biggest customers….
…some visitors to Northampton…
….new vans, big enough to get a bag of clubs in the back ……and other stories…..
….promotions, and new arrivals…..who is the Kate Bush look-alike ??..
…nice guy this, but his arrival followed the untimely death of Brian Charouneau…
….now some sadder moments, firstly Vera`s leaving, with all the Tech Sales crew in attendance..
….and worse still, we said a final goodbye to two faithful servants……
Finally to lift the mood, from a great height, we have the new Financial Controller, & friends!!!
