JUST A SMALL CONTRIBUTION TONIGHT FROM A LADY KNOWN AS JEAN GILLIES IN HER TIME AT B.H., WHEN SHE WAS SECRETARY TO BILL TAYLOR, NOW KNOWN AS JEAN CAMWELL.
Jean had her camera with her the day that Jackie Harris (J.K.A`S secretary) left The Company, when they had a bit of a knees up at the Chequers at Rothersthorpe. A couple of old stagers were fortunately snapped that day as well, see as follows, but firstly Jean`s letter which accompanied the images……
….so number one sees Jackie Harris, an apparently bored Dave Goodman, and 2 other youngish types that Jean cannot identify….the one on the far right seems familiar, but as always, if anybody can help with the two names, please do……..Dave Braithwaite has come up with Glenn Moore far right, from Accounts, played for BH footie team….
….next up, from the left, Ron Broughton, Martyn Edwards, Teresa Wolley (sitting) & Sandra Broughton, Ron`s daughter…..
…..moving on to the man who dished out the wages (??), dear old Sid Beardsmore, with Stephanie Jones & Jackie supporting each other and the bar…….
….plus another great old personality, Fred Starmer, again with Stephanie & Jackie…..(attended a few cost meetings with Fred when EPB was running the show at HML, & always impressed that Fred rarely took any c**p from Eddie, and always stood his ground, which was not easy)…….
….and lastly, Jackie getting something from JKA…….cant see what it is from here, but it`s nicely wrapped. Thanks Jean for snapping some good old Hodgites, lest we forget.
