AS MOST OF YOU IN THE INDUSTRY KNOW, THE FIRST FRIDAY IN DECEMBER IS THE DATE NOW FOR MOST REGIONAL LIGHTHOUSE BRANCH ANNUAL LUNCHES, AS WAS THE CASE YESTERDAY AT NORTHAMPTON.
According to Alan Matchett, well known composer of Kentish pub reviews, and general vendor of heavy duty crushing thingys, at yesterday`s East Midland Branch dinner, a Marilyn Monroe lookalike was passing amongst the members there posing for photos, the donations from which went to the Club.
Apparently our Macho decided to invest 10 of his hard earned (!!) pounds in such a photo, not of himself though, but of some unfortunate, ageing, used equipment salesman who happened to be in the firing line.
We dont have his name, but we are told he is a local chap, and it was unkindly said by some that he was in fact old enough to have had the original MM in that pose, but this was countered when we were informed he would have been only 15 at the time she so sadly died !!
All in a good cause though, so here we have MM, and apparently one of HML`s survivors.
