KENNETH JOHNSON, REMEMBERED BY MANY, NOT LEAST FOR HIS DAYS AS MINE HOST AT THE HAWK & BUCKLE IN HENLLAN, NEAR DENBIGH, BUT MAINLY AS A LONG TIME INHABITANT OF BERKELEY SQUARE IN THE VERY EARLY YEARS OF ITS OPERATIONS.
Ken has blessed us with a couple of very early images, taken in Newhouse in 1956, and he has put a few names to faces, but as you will see, there are many not identified, so if any of you slightly more elderly readers can be of help, please feel free to do so.
As the title suggest, Ken advises that…….we`ll let him introduce them…….
"These photo's were taken at the launch of the TC12 in the winter of 1956, in Glasgow, two or three weeks after I joined BH.
In the front row of the standing photo, from the left, I am no. 2; Bill Dickey (?) at no 5; 6 Cyril Maklin; 7 Myles Hudspeth; 8 Derek Fulton; 9 George Heaney.
John Cheetham is seated second right, in the other picture. The others were members of BH overseas and home staff, GM Glasgow and GMOO who made the presentation.
I hope that these will interest some of the "Golden Oldies" like me.
Kindest regards, Ken Johnson."
