PHILIP HODGES was only on board at JBH for 5 years, 1974-1979, but is remembered well, and is still doing his stuff, as you will see from his blatent advert later !!
He started working for Hal Kelly in the North Western area of Western Region, and his letter of appointment follows, copy as you will notice to George Mitchell…
Your letter came as well from the Fur & Feather Department, Bill Finch & John Rabbitt, also Keith Hickson was there in those days, so to cement his contract, Philip received this tome as well.
After a few years of Hal & George, Philip obviously thought that there were better things, because as per the next letter, he joined EAW`s crane crew, in 1977, letter from John Rabbitt.
As we know Philip stayed with the Crane Division until he left us, and he could not resist sending in images of some the cranes that he, along with many more of us, had a hand in selling.
Some specification images first….
…and now a couple Philip had personal involvement in, a Tarmac Clansman….
….and lastly, an image of the dear chap himself, when he first started at the Hodge……oooops sorry, no, this is a current shot of Philip, selling what, we`re not sure, cant quite make it out…..
