MARTIN WRIGHT RECENTLY CAME UP WITH SOME PHOTOS FROM VARIOUS POINTS OF HIS B.H. CAREER, AND WE ASKED HIM TO FILL IN A LITTLE AS TO WHAT HE WAS DOING AT THE TIME OF THE IMAGES, WHICH HE HAS KINDLY DONE.
Sales Seminar, on the S.A.Vaal, from Durban to Cape Town, with Malcolm Rowan, Martin, and Ian Smith, all BHZ.
Two shots now from a Service Managers Conference in Port Elizabeth, RSA, October 1971. Any faces recognised apart from Martin ?? He has mentioned Robin Matthews, Ivor Lander, all BHZ, and Hermann Dech & Max Beaton from GM and BH RSA respectively.
Couple from 1972 Service Training Schools in Kitwe now, with names added for a change…..
Various shots now of BH Kitwe, from 1972 to 1974, of the offices, workshops, and some personnel.
Some of the Terex new stock, with Martin, Colin Larrett, & Robin Matthews.
Back "home" now, and a collection of names at the 1978 West Midlands Lighthouse Club Christmas Dinner……Chris McGowan, The McSweeney, Martin, Julian Perry, and a youthful Adam Higgins.
August 1987, Yeoman of England, Martin at a dinner honouring Myles & Jean Hudspeth, with Harry & Betty Lee, Jack Cornelius, Arjan Mans, Olive Hardy, and we assume Peter Hardy on the camera !!
Not all work and no play, as can be seen from the next shot, Woburn 1987, BH Golf Day……
…with a few well known names, from left, someone who could possibly be John Colver hiding, Martin, Ted Bell, Mike Lomas, Keith Matthews, Ian Brown, David Taylor (in the rugby shirt !!), Austin Field, Ken Scobie, with the R&A`s current warm-up man far right. If we have missed anybody, let us know.
Lastly December 1987, W/Midlands Lighthouse again, with Martin, Brian Reynolds, & Stuart Purvis.
The last contribution from Martin is out of chronoligical (had to look that up!) order, but we wanted to include it mainly for the names that appear, well you know how much we like lists, and the number of BH people for that matter, who attended CONEXPO 1981, in the USA.
Nice to see who made it to the Ramada Hotel, assumingly the best one from the fact that the top brass that stayed there, mostly the Brits, whilst the Africa Corps & the Aussies, and also the "lesser brethren", seemingly had to slum it elsewhere. Were you there ??
Bet this lot didnt cost too much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anomaly here…how come only one of the "Twins" appears on the top of the list !!
Finally, finally, part of the programme also included a telephone directory, not by individual as was usual, but by country & depot, so we could not resist yet another list to finish with.
