Clive was not only a good engineer, he was a wonderfully positive guy to be working with. Hal Kelly used to call him ‘Corky’ because he was so buoyant. His music in those days comprised Neil Diamond, Neil Diamond and, yes N.D!
A short while ago he related a story (a true one) to me of when his son was playing in an orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall and he and his wife were in the audience. Clive looked to his wife and she was crying; he said ‘What’s wrong love?’ to which she replied ‘ It seems only a short while ago that he was reciting ‘Humpty Dumpty’
I then knew where Clive acquired his wonderful sense of humour.
    A truly good man.
