SOMETIME DURING THE EARLY 1980`S, HUNSBURY MACHINERY`S M.D., KEN KIRKPATRICK, INSTIGATED A PROGRAMME OF WATERBOWSER CONSTRUCTION ON TEREX RIGIDS.

Similar machines had been built in the late 1970`s based on TS14 & TS24 scrapers, but this was the first attempt at rigid models.

The very first, pictured below, "posing" outside Northmpton Reception, was based on a 1971 Terex R35S, which went out on hire to Blue Circle at Northfleet…….R-35S WB, THE FIRST ONE, 1982-3ish.ISH

…..not having seen this unit for some 25+ years, you can imagine we were quite excited to see it readvertised late last year, by a dealer in Yorkshire. It had some modifications carried out to the exhaust and some extra guard rails added, but still the same old girl we saw so many years ago.233056mm_1-3[1]
