OUR INTEREST WAS TAKEN RECENTLY ON ONE OF OUR FORAYS INTO EBAY WITH AN ADVERT FOR SALE, WHICH ON RECEIPT, TURNED OUT TO BE A PAGE OF CONTRACT JOURNAL, DATED OCTOBER 1958.
It`s a B.H. advert, and relates to the recently completed Lancaster By-Pass, and consists of mainly a Euc S21, and a mention that Dick Hampton had chosen that model for the contract.
Interesting to note that the S21`s are described amongst other things as "Britain`s biggest & fastest scrapers", but see for yourselves…..
…..and on the back of the page was a quaint little advert for Vigzol Lubrication………….no, not what you`re thinking…….
…..see all those dirty minds got it wrong !!
