VERY RECENTLY WE HAD CONTACT WITH GRAHAM WINWOOD, WHO SPENT 19 YEARS OF HIS LIFE WORKING FOR THE HODGE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD.
No sooner had we asked him to fire in some reminiscences that they were here, and they follow this intro. There are also some fotos of bygone years, and they follow Graham`s script, firstly a precis of his time, that followed by a full account of the 19 years, containing some incredible details of people, dates, and of course machinery, so read on.

Now Graham`s photos…..firstly a Manitou display in Orange Field, New South Wales in 1976….
……….."Ned`s Camp on Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia, (whale shark territory), pretty remote, and ran into my old P&H crane salesman, who I hadn`t seen for 26 years."
….."retired 33-15, one of fifteen trucks that worked at Parabadoo Mine, Pilbara, W.A. from 1975-1988"…… (we cant read the sign, must ask Graham if he knows what it says. Ed)……
……."get-together of retired Hodge-ites on the occasion of Dan & Helen Martins 60th wedding anniversary….left to right…Dan, Betty Chainey, Pam Winwood, Graham, Jim Chainey & Helen, October 2012"…..
….and now something special…."2 of the Terex TS-32`s that worked Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory, 1974"…..
….and lastly…"Blackwood Hodge, Brisbane, late 1960`s"…..there is a certain something about that sign that you never forget !!
Thats not quite all, because Graham found an old English colleague had already "done his bit" on the website about BH Australia, Terry Myring who some months ago told us all about his time down there.
As luck would have it, Graham met Terry during that time, and has been in touch already (these Aussies dont mess about do they !) and he copied us with his note to Terry, so Grahams final contribution, for now, as we hope he may find something else…….
