OUR LATEST CONTRIBUTION IS FROM THAT WELLKNOWN EX BH LONDON AND LATTERLY NORTHAMPTON, A.H.F.NELMES, KNOW AS TONY TO HIS FRIENDS…  ……..BOTH OF THEM !!

It is a photograph of the leaving party of one Ted Line, long time employee of BH, who retired around 1975, according to Ted Farmer, which took place at 25, Berkeley Square, in Bill Shapland`s office, and was attended by the great and the good (!!) of those days.

Here is the image…..Ted lines
……and the male guests are, from the left, Tony Nelmes, Mr Shapland, Peter Ginsberg, Robin Tilden-Davis, Ted, Mike Maddox, Steven Freid, Keith Prebble, and Uncle Ted Farmer.

The ladies are a bit more difficult, and Ted can only come up with one name, that being Jenny Pratt (originally Bert Samek`s secretary), being two persons to the right of Ted.

Our thanks to Tony & Ted for their input on this occasion.

Where was Mr Samek? He(Major Line) was the ultimate salesman cool, smooth, sophisticated and had a ready answer to any difficult question. What ever happended to Jenny Prat ?

Ladies are from left to right: Mr Samek’s new secretary (can’t remember her name), Mr Ginsburg’s secretary Belinda, don’t know the next one but then there is me, Carol Estasy (Mr Blackwood’s secretary), then Jenny then Mr Shapland’s housekeeper and at the front is Bridie Setra.

    Hello,
My name is Chris Patterson, Robin Tilden-Davis’s stepson. We last meet in 1982 and I’d love to know more of what became of him.
I understand he passed away in 2006.
    Thanks,
    Chris
