Although we havent reported on them lately, the UK lunchtime gatherings at The Three Horsehoes, Ecton, Northampton, ably landlorded by Hodgite Steve Wheatman, are still happening, and are still very well attended.

The Christmas one in December, and the latest in mid March, both had around 23 Hodgites there, although on both occasions, we were missing a couple of regulars who were not 100% on the day, but hope to be at the next one in June this year.

We would take this opportunity to mention one of those absentees, Eric Belcher, and wish his wife Elaine a speedy recovery after she was taken ill when just about to board a plane for a holiday. We havent spoken to Eric this week, but hopefully Elaine is feeling a lot better, and we send our best wishes on behalf of all who know them.

Also, although numbers were down slightly from previous years, about ten Hodgites were also present at the East Midlands Lighthouse Club Lunch in Northampton last December, their attendance, and the wine, as always ably organised by Dennis Tidmarsh, who never fails to deliver for his guests on that occasion.

As stated, the next Friday Lunchtime gathering at Ecton is fixed for June 15th, so anybody reading this who hasn`t come along before, just make contact through the usual email address and join us……only costs a tenner for your beer and food, how can you miss it !!
