HELD WAY BACK ON JUNE 14TH, THE BH GOLF DAY MOVED VENUES FOR THE FIRST TIME AND WAS HELD AT RUSHDEN GOLF CLUB, STRANGELY ENOUGH, NEAR TO RUSHDEN, NORTHANTS.

WITH EVERYBODY INVOLVED BEING NEW TO THE COURSE, THE OUTCOME OF EACH COMPETITION WAS NOT A CERTAINTY, AND SOME OF THE WINNERS TURNED OUT TO BE A TAD UNEXPECTED !!

Anyway, the day started off in the familiar manner with players quaffing coffee and bacon rolls, followed by the group foto, followed by some decent play, some indecent play, and some downright fortunate play !!

From the left, Julie Edwards (caddie), Ned Edwards, Keith Brealey, Karl Brealey, Norman Willmott, Alan Matchett, Martin Ede and Martin Wright.

+++++++++++++++++++++

As ever, the event was more than ably organised by Alan Matchett, with 2 teams competing, plus the individual winner, and prizes for Nearest the Pin and the Longest Drive.

Lacking this year, at least for now, are the "action" shots from around the course !! They seem to have got lost somewhere in the computer, but if found, will be added later, so for now the only ones we have are supplied by Martin Ede.

BHG 2

Individual winner, Karl Brealey……..

BHG 3

….runner-up Martin Wright.

BHG 4
Winning Team, Ned Edwards, Norman Willmott & Karl Brealey.

BHG 5

Longest Drive…….dont laugh, Keith Brealey, with a 3 wood !! He was also wooden spoonist on points.We advised him not to use the 3 wood for putting as well, but he wouldn`t listen !!

BHG 6

Last but not least, Nearest the Pin went to Alan Matchett. Not sure here who is holding who up !!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A good day for all, and hopefully next year we can entice a few of the "younger" B.H. element out for a game, as there are still several upright and talking who can play.
